Arturo Acosta is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Araco Group, LLC, a construction company based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He established Araco Construction Services in November 1990. Under his leadership, Araco has grown to encompass multiple entities, including Araco Concrete, Araco Civil, and Araco Pumping, all operating from the headquarters at 3390 Drennan Industrial Loop S, Colorado Springs.
Arturo Acosta was born in Arroyo de Angua, a small town in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico. Growing up in a humble farming community, he learned the values of dedication, family, and hard work at an early age. By the age of twelve, Arturo was already helping his family with farming duties, developing the strong work ethic that would guide him throughout his life.
Later, Arturo moved to Colonia Oréganos in Chihuahua. His mother recognized his potential and encouraged him to pursue his education. Although Arturo faced health challenges that limited his ability to work in the fields, his intelligence and determination stood out. He continued his studies through middle school before moving to Ciudad Juárez, where he began working in a factory.
At eighteen, driven by a dream for a better future, Arturo made the bold decision to move to the United States. Inspired by others who had improved their lives through hard work, he sought new opportunities and took any job he could find—roofer, laborer, or helper—working long hours and learning the value of persistence. During this time, he discovered his passion for the concrete industry.
Life in the U.S., however, was far from easy. Arturo faced financial hardship, often living in his car and relying on local churches for food. He also encountered language barriers that made each day a challenge. Despite these struggles, he remained focused, saving every dollar he could to return to Mexico.
In 1993, he went back to Mexico for a year but soon realized that his goals and ambitions no longer aligned with staying there. The United States had become the place where he felt he could truly build his future.
In 1994, Arturo returned to the U.S. with stronger determination than ever. He began working for William Bacca, who became both a mentor and an inspiration. Through years of hands-on experience, Arturo mastered every aspect of the concrete trade. In 2000, with a clear vision and unwavering drive, he founded his first company, Acosta Concrete. The early years were filled with struggle and sacrifice, but every obstacle became a lesson and every setback fueled his desire to succeed. A legal challenge eventually forced him to close the company, but even that did not stop him—it only strengthened his resolve.
In 2006, Arturo opened Araco Concrete, marking the true beginning of what would become the Araco Group. His leadership was shaped by resilience and a commitment to learning from every experience. Mentors such as Michael Baker, Rick, and William Bacca continued to guide him, reinforcing his belief that success required not only hard work, but also business knowledge, preparation, and perseverance.
As Araco Concrete grew, Arturo sought ways to better serve his clients and improve efficiency in project scheduling. In 2016, he expanded his vision by acquiring IAF Leasing, now operating as Araco Pumping, to provide clients with greater flexibility in scheduling concrete work. Later, Unlimited Concrete & Asphalt was established to give clients a complete package—from the foundation to the asphalt—throughout Colorado.
With the success of these ventures, Arturo continued to pursue growth and innovation. In 2021, he founded Araco Civil, allowing the company to manage projects comprehensively—from utilities and excavation to foundation and concrete slabs, sidewalks, etc. This structure streamlined the construction process and gave clients a single, reliable partner to manage their entire schedule efficiently.
Arturo’s dedication to honesty, quality, and excellence has always been at the heart of his business philosophy. He never relied on advertising; instead, his reputation was built through referrals and word-of-mouth. His focus has always been to ensure that Araco is known for the quality of its work—not just the name behind it.
Over time, Arturo’s role evolved from fieldwork to leadership. He learned to balance the physical demands of construction with the administrative responsibilities of managing a company, including operations, client relationships, and employee development. Each stage brought new lessons, transforming challenges into wisdom and success into motivation for continued growth. Arturo believes in leading by example and inspiring others through hard work, humility, and integrity. He encourages his team to study, learn, and persevere—a philosophy he lives by every day. As he often says, “If you work hard for 10 to 14 hours a day and love what you do, you’ll always find success.” His vision for Araco Group is to remain one of the top concrete and civil companies in Colorado, continuing to build a legacy of excellence to pass down to his children and future generations. Arturo continues to pursue his lifelong dream: “One day, I want to build a 50-story skyscraper out of concrete—on that day, I’ll retire.”
Today, Arturo Acosta stands as a proud example of perseverance, dedication, and faith. From his beginnings in a small farming town to leading a respected construction group in the United States, his story embodies the true spirit of the American Dream—a testament that with hard work, discipline, and vision, anything is possible.
With a focus on delivering high-quality concrete solutions, Arturo has guided Araco to serve a diverse range of industries, including industrial infrastructure, road construction, and commercial building. His commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction has been instrumental in the company’s expansion and reputation in the region.
Arturo’s dedication to the construction industry is evident in Araco’s mission to provide top-tier craftsmanship at competitive prices. By leveraging volume purchasing from local suppliers, the company offers cost-effective services without compromising on quality. This approach has led to a strong word-of-mouth reputation and a loyal client base.
Through his visionary leadership, Arturo Acosta continues to drive Araco’s growth, ensuring that the company remains a trusted name in concrete, commercial and industrial construction across Colorado and beyond.
Arturo believes that successful projects are built on clarity, collaboration, and thoughtful planning
